Gameplay

Pause home, 2D map, stats, settings, and player preferences.

Players open the menu the same way as always — ESC or P. There is no extra keybind to set up.

The 3D map has its own page: 3D Map.

Navigate with the mouse or Arrow Up / Down and Enter. ESC closes the menu.

The header shows the character name, server ID, cash, bank, and player count. With pause.showBranding = true, the logo and serverName show on the left.

Portrait camera#

While the menu is open, the camera moves to a front shot of the character with an idle animation. It's skipped in vehicles. Players can turn it off under Settings → Preferences → Portrait Mode.

2D map#

The real GTA map, with a custom legend on the right that lists every blip on the map.

Arrow Up / DownSelect a blip
Arrow Left / RightCycle between blips with the same name
EnterSet a waypoint on the selected blip

Stats#

  • Skills — Stamina, Shooting, Strength, Stealth, Flying, Driving, Lung Capacity (0–100)
  • Other stats — this session, time played, deaths, distance on foot, distance driven

Values come from GTA's own player stats.

Most servers don't write GTA skill stats, so these may show 0 unless you run a script that sets them.

Settings#

The settings page shows GTA's own settings in the new UI — Gamepad, Keyboard / Mouse, Key Bindings, Audio, Camera, Display, Graphics, Advanced Graphics, Voice Chat, Rockstar Editor, and Saving and Startup. GTA saves the values itself, the same as the vanilla menu.

  • Graphics and Advanced Graphics changes are pending until you press Apply Changes. Leaving the page with unapplied changes asks to apply, stay, or discard.
  • All other categories apply instantly.
  • Key Bindings — only the primary key can be changed here. Use the Regular Menu for secondary keys.

Regular Menu#

The Regular Menu entry (last item in the settings sidebar) opens the vanilla GTA pause menu once. The same thing works with:

Preferences#

Found at the bottom of the settings sidebar, under the GTA categories. Saved per player.
