Use the narrow diagnostic matching the symptom. Gameplay/calibration commands require boolean Config.debugCommands = true after restart and a live global administrator. Metrics, migration1 maintenance and normal panel access have separate permissions.
Command reference#
| Command | What it does | Where/access |
|---|---|---|
| /restaurant | Open the normal panel; default F7 | In-game authorized role; configurable command/key |
| /restaurant_target_debug | Show registered target volumes | In-game debug-enabled global admin |
| /restaurantmodels | Show allowlisted local model previews | In-game debug-enabled global admin |
| /restaurantmodels list [group] / clear / help | Discover or clear the model preview choices | Same model-debug authority |
| /restaurantusage [usage_key or close] | Preview/calibrate finished-item hold/use attachments | In-game debug-enabled global admin |
| /restaurantusagegive [usage_key or close] | Select a published-product test serving and grant a real item | In-game debug-enabled global admin |
| /restaurantpedro [staff] | Prepare the supported demo map setup or only add invoking staff | In-game debug-enabled global admin; writes actual configuration |
| restaurant_metrics on/off/reset/show | Collect performance information | Server console only |
| restaurant_migrations status | Read migration history | Server console only |
Use migration commands only for database startup problems, following Database Startup. They do not repair ordinary panel errors.
Target and model diagnosis#
Target debug shows the volumes actually registered by the bridge. Check them against the published point/object. A large visible volume still does not waive server distance or staff checks.
Use model previews to find a missing or misplaced model, then clear them when finished. Place live stations through the recipe's world picker.
Finished-item calibration#
Use /restaurantusage to adjust a finished product's hold and use positions for the selected metadata2 variant. Choose Copy active visual definition to copy that item's complete visual table, or Copy all visual definitions for the presentations you edited. The output names each config/item_usage/visuals/<presentation>.lua file. Replace that named file and restart the main resource. Keep portions and hunger/thirst in config/item_usage.lua.
Closing the preview keeps your unsaved adjustments until the resource restarts. The export includes retained variants and ingredient mappings; do not append it after old profile definitions. Change production cameras and equipment in the asset resource's product config.
/restaurantusagegive adds a real product to inventory from a published recipe with a supported usage profile. It needs free inventory space. It does not run preparation or use ingredients, so use it only when checking item use.
Measure performance under a fixed workload#
Use these server-console commands when collecting information for a performance problem:
restaurant_metrics on
restaurant_metrics reset
restaurant_metrics show
restaurant_metrics off
Enable and reset the counters, reproduce the slow action, copy the output, then turn them off. Include the player count, active restaurants, what staff were doing and the first error in your support report.
To enable counters at startup, use set 0r_restaurant_metrics 1.
Finish the investigation#
When finished, turn off diagnostics, clear previews and restore your normal debug setting. For support, describe the action, server workload, resource version and what happened in game.
