These three location types have separate users and actions. Put them where people should perform those actions; a map blip has its own independent coordinates.
What each location does#
| Location | Typical user | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| management point1 | Authorized management | Optional world entry to the management panel |
| menu location2 | Customer | Browse products, checkout, My Orders and eligible pickup |
| packaging point3 | Active staff | Package products and open Restaurant Storage |
| Map Blip Coordinates | Anyone reading the map | Show the public map marker |
Configuration permission still applies at a Management Point. Standing there does not make a customer an owner. Likewise, opening the management panel elsewhere does not waive storage proximity.

Edit profile showing separate Management Point, Packaging Point, menu locations and map marker coordinates.
Place Management and Packaging#
- Select the restaurant and open Edit.
- Find the intended location field.
- Use its world-placement action and choose a reachable position in the actual map.
- Inspect height and approach space, then confirm the picker.
- Return to the editor and review the accepted coordinates.
Choose staff-only counter space for Packaging when appropriate. Do not place its interaction inside a locked object or on the inaccessible side of a wall. It must be close enough for the staff transfer checks.
Add a customer menu location#
- In Menu Locations, select +.
- Give the location a useful name, such as Front Counter.
- Choose Point or Object. Point uses an interaction at the saved location; Object adds the chosen model.
- Place it in the world. In Object mode, enter a valid model and inspect its preview first.
- Use the dialog's Save action to apply the location to the shared draft.
The new location appears as a chip in the collection. Select that chip to edit it again. Cancel, Escape or closing the dialog abandons its buffered changes. Deleting inside the dialog removes the local draft location after acceptance; it still needs Save draft and Publish.
Activate the locations#
Apply open forms, save draft4 and publish5. The first Create Save includes menu locations, but live use still depends on the published enabled setup. Changing a menu location invalidates old menu sessions; customers may need to reopen at the current point.
Existing paid orders can block removal or disabling of locations necessary to fulfill customer obligations. Close new orders and finish or resolve existing ones before restructuring the restaurant.
Verify from both sides#
As a customer, approach the Menu Location, open Menu and My Orders, and check the restaurant name. As active staff, approach Packaging and open Storage. As authorized management, try the Management Point. Repeat after a map or placement change.
If a menu is empty, location placement may be working correctly: review the finished-output policies, enabled products and sales catalog separately. Follow Sales and Prices. If no interaction appears, follow Placement and Kitchen Problems.
