Cocktail Preparation

Follow Cocktail preparation controls, continuation and collection.

Cocktail supports recipe-book preparation and free mixing with direct or shaker methods. The finished drink keeps the glass, ingredients and amounts you prepared.

Before preparing#

Use an enabled, published station as active restaurant staff. Put away incompatible carried items before starting. Check Cocktail setup if the interaction is missing.

1. Choose a recipe or method#

Open the Recipe Book, preview an entry and choose its preparation action. Recipe mode validates the required method, glass and ingredient sequence/counts.

Alternatively use the direct free-mix method target. It opens the composer without browsing. Selecting the current free method resumes that draft. Switching method or leaving recipe mode resets the previous drink, so review the choice before switching.

2. Select the glass and ingredients#

Choose an offered vessel and follow the next-step HUD1. Select a bottle/ingredient, move to the correct vessel and perform the indicated addition. Recipe mode returns the prop after each completed addition and enforces its validated counts.

In free mix, you can pour several portions of an allowed liquid. After pouring, click the vessel again to add another portion from the held bottle. Return the bottle before serving or using undo. Stay within the displayed recipe limits.

3. Complete the method#

For direct preparation, finish the accepted glass contents. For shaker preparation, follow the offered shaker transitions and waits before serving. Use the required glass and method, and wait for the next action shown on screen.

Start the selected recipe to see its next instruction on the HUD. Browsing the book does not extend the time available for unfinished drinks.

Undo and leave#

RMB2 first returns the held bottle or tool. With empty hands, it undoes the previous completed step, such as an ingredient, glass choice or shaker step. Reopening the view or changing the method starts a new undo history.

Escape leaves the drink at the station so you or another nearby active employee can continue. X discards it. Browsing the book or hovering does not extend the inactivity time.

Serve and verify#

Use the final serve action when the composition is valid. Successful transfer grants a finished item without consuming ordinary ingredient inventory. Its saved details determine the held vessel, drink contents and configured consumption effects.

Alcohol effects start when a player drinks, as explained in Consumption. The configured alcoholic ingredients determine the amount. Preparing or holding the cocktail adds no alcohol.

For station/camera selection problems, use Kitchen Problems. For a failed or uncertain transfer, preserve the original error and follow Inventory Problems.
