Hamburger Preparation

Follow Hamburger preparation controls, continuation and collection.

Hamburger uses raw patty/bread supply, a spatula, shared grill slots, a preparation surface and its own product box. Cooked patties can burn, so collection timing matters.

Before preparing#

Use an enabled, published station as active restaurant staff. Put away incompatible carried items before starting. Check Hamburger setup if the interaction is missing.

1. Prepare bread and cook a patty#

Take bread with empty hands and place it on the assembly worktop. You cannot take bread while holding the spatula. Obtain the spatula for patty handling, take a raw patty and load a free cooking slot.

The grill tracks each slot independently. Loading one patty does not clear another worker's slot. Wait for its ready indication, then collect the cooked patty through the matching interaction.

Ready patties burn if left on the heat for another cooking interval. Quality is fixed when collection is reserved. A cancelled collection restores the original deadlines; it does not grant a new safe interval. A burnt patty can be collected and discarded but cannot become a valid burger layer.

2. Deposit the cooked patty#

Place the actual held cooked patty on the prepared worktop. The deposited patty becomes a layer in the burger. Follow the current carry hints to release or put down the tool when the assembly view needs free hands.

Both valid bread and patty contents are required before sealing the burger. If a deposit is denied, keep the error and inspect the held food, point and published recipe rather than repeating the click without checking its result.

3. Assemble the burger#

Open the preparation view and use LMB1 to select/place allowed toppings. The preparation camera supplies a bounded preview for placement. Sauces are centered and validated by their own condiment rules.

RMB2 first returns a held preview; with empty selection it removes only the last accepted topping. It does not remove the deposited patties or give ingredients back into inventory. Select the top bun to finish the assembly through the product's completion path.

Escape leaves accepted layers on the station for continuation. Another authorized employee can take over retained work. See Shared Work for explicit discard and inactivity.

4. Box and collect#

Take the prepared burger, open its box at the packaging step and place the burger inside. Complete the ordered product-packaging interactions. After boxing and collection succeed, the burger appears in inventory with the ingredients you used.

This product box is different from Package Products, which creates a delivery bag from finished inventory products. Use Packaging when preparing customer-order contents.

Check common failures#

If bread pickup is missing, check whether you still hold the spatula. If assembly rejects a patty, check its cooked/burnt state. If a worktop is occupied, resume the retained preparation or use a different configured point.

When inventory is definitely full, make space before retrying the retained output. An unconfirmed transfer needs administrator review. The Inventory troubleshooting page explains why those outcomes have different recovery paths.
