Sandwich uses a personal cart with bread choices, filling trays, sauces and parking positions. It is a cold assembly workflow, so there is no grill job or cooking timer to complete.
Before preparing#
Use your own cart or vehicle under its configured Staff/Everyone access policy. Staff-only access requires active published membership. Check Sandwich setup if the interaction is missing.
1. Choose the bread#
Select the intended bread type and place its bottom layer. The available definition can include standard and long bread presentations. Keep the same bread type when closing the sandwich; a different top type is invalid.
The choice is retained with the confirmed composition and determines the applicable finished presentation. Do not assume that changing a label can convert a saved long sandwich into a different base.
2. Add fillings and sauce#
Select a filling, move its preview into place and click to add it. Repeat within the recipe's limits. Add sauce through its displayed interaction. Include a solid filling before closing the sandwich; sauce alone is not enough.
Watch the visible preview and accepted layers. Hovering or moving a selection does not create a layer. Placement rotates with the cart's assembly frame, so keep the cart properly positioned rather than compensating with unrelated world coordinates.
3. Close with matching bread#
Add the matching closing bread after valid fillings. The closed sandwich does not accept new additions until reopened through the supported undo flow. Finish/collect using the cart HUD1 when its composition is complete.
The verified transfer grants one finished product with the accepted bread and contents. A visible closed sandwich on the worktop is still temporary preparation until that transfer succeeds.
Understand RMB undo#
RMB2 first releases a held ingredient preview. With no preview held, RMB removes the closing bread, then the latest filling, then the bottom bread when allowed.
One press never both returns an ingredient and removes an accepted layer. Use this sequence when reopening a closed sandwich to adjust a filling. Undo does not create inventory ingredients or recover an already delivered product.
Park, resume and move#
Use a free parking position when preparing several sandwiches. Reopening your cart keeps its active and parked food. If the preparation view fails to open, check the error before discarding or restarting.
Escape leaves the cart view and keeps its preparation for you to resume. Use X to discard the active sandwich. Moving the cart keeps its food with it.
Check the result#
Inspect the finished item's bread/composition details and image. Its usage profile controls eating afterward. For a capacity or uncertain-write error, inspect the actual inventory before trying another transfer. See Mobile Serving, Shared Work and Inventory Problems.
