Taco Preparation

Follow Taco preparation controls, continuation and collection.

Taco uses three placed steps: shared supply, protein/tortilla cooking and preparation. Cooked protein and warmed tortilla are separate base components, deposited before the ingredient camera opens.

Before preparing#

Use an enabled, published station as active restaurant staff. Put away incompatible carried items before starting. Check Taco setup if the interaction is missing.

1. Cook protein and warm tortilla#

Take beef or chicken from supply and load an appropriate protein slot. Separately take a tortilla and load a warming slot. Each becomes an unattended server job. Loading frees hands; collect each ready component with the appropriate empty/compatible hands.

Taco jobs do not burn. Protein and tortilla use their own capacity groups, so a free tortilla position is not a free protein position. Taking supply, loading, collecting and depositing bases do not use a long action progressbar.

2. Deposit both bases#

Place cooked protein and warmed tortilla at the preparation worktop in either order. The first accepted base reserves that surface and releases the carry so you can fetch the other component.

Additional protein portions must each be taken, cooked, collected and deposited through the same real flow, up to the combined protein limit. Beef and chicken can share a preparation. Duplicate tortilla, excess protein or deposits onto folded work are rejected without consuming the held component.

The majority protein selects the finished identity; a tie uses the first deposited protein. Mixed item details retain both accepted counts.

3. Add optional ingredients#

Once both bases are present and hands are free, open Prepare taco explicitly. Use LMB1 to select and deposit allowed vegetables. Sauces follow their centered, single-use rules. The cursor preview and bounds guide placement; the server confirms each accepted addition.

RMB2 returns a held preview first. With empty selection, it removes only the last accepted topping. Undo leaves the warmed tortilla and cooked protein in place.

4. Fold, then collect#

Press E to accept the toppings and fold the Taco. Wait for the transition. The camera remains open showing the finished Taco. Press E separately to collect the inventory product; the fold animation itself grants nothing.

In the ready view, RMB first reopens the folded preparation without changing toppings. A further undo removes the last topping. During folding, follow the limited active controls rather than trying to add another ingredient.

Leave or hand over the station#

Escape leaves the bases, toppings and folded Taco at the station. Another authorized employee can continue. Departure clears personal carries while deposited food and cooking jobs follow shared retention.

A definite inventory rejection retains the finished Taco for supported collection retry. If collection cannot be confirmed, check inventory and ask an administrator to review the transfer before trying again. See Shared Work.

If an older Taco recipe shows Incompatible, follow its upgrade or remove-and-add-again instructions. Image files cannot repair an incompatible recipe. Use Safe Updates.
