Coffee Preparation

Follow Coffee preparation controls, continuation and collection.

Coffee offers a recipe book and free mixing at one published machine. Choose a recipe or free mix, then start preparing at the machine.

Before preparing#

Use an enabled, published station as active restaurant staff. Put away incompatible carried items before starting. Check Coffee setup if the interaction is missing.

1. Choose recipe or free mix#

Use the machine's book target, search/browse and preview an entry, then use its preparation action. Alternatively use the direct free-mix target to start the same authorized free preparation without browsing.

An occupied machine resumes its existing recipe or free mode. Leave the retained preparation intact to continue it; use explicit discard if you intend to replace it.

2. Choose an allowed cup#

Select a cup from its physical dispenser bay in the camera view. Recipe mode offers only sizes allowed by that recipe. The cup remains at the machine while work proceeds.

The next required recipe object is highlighted/offered. If nothing reacts, check that the current operation is ready and that you chose the actual offered object, not a nearby cosmetic prop.

3. Extract and add ingredients#

Follow the recipe sequence for espresso, syrup, water, ice and milk as applicable. Hover labels show the operation. LMB1 invokes the first available operation; RMB2 invokes a second when offered. For Coffee, RMB is not a general composition-undo key.

Milk retains its selected hot/cold mode. Wait for extraction/steaming/pouring to complete before starting an incompatible operation. Free mix allows repeated additions after the first extraction, up to the displayed limits.

4. Serve the drink#

When ready, use the finish key shown by the HUD3 or click the cup. Takeaway servings fit their matching lid before collection completes. Ceramic mini cups are served open.

Collect the drink to receive one finished item with your chosen size and contents. Ready Coffee preparation supplies its ingredients. The item's usage profile controls sipping, hunger, thirst and other configured effects afterward.

Leave or allow takeover#

Escape closes catalog browsing immediately. During preparation, Escape leaves the machine draft for continuation. X explicitly discards the owned preparation, including during Coffee device waits. The camera/cursor can remain active while waiting, so a wait is not automatically a stuck UI.

Another nearby active staff member can take over, retaining mode, size, contents, accepted steps and remaining wait. Takeover or reopening does not reset inactivity. See Shared Work.

Check the finished item#

Confirm the proper cup/variant and installed PNG. A material override affects newly produced images; a profile selects the held presentation. For missing mouse selection, check the station position and preparation camera, then Kitchen Problems. For a collection or Use failure, follow Inventory Problems.
